Michael Lind ’85 is the co-founder of the New America Foundation, a think tank based in Washington, D.C. He is a regular contributor to Salon magazine and has been an editor or staff writer at several major publications, including The New Yorker. Lind has written several books, particularly on U.S. history, foreign policy, and national politics, including Up from Conservatism: Why the Right is Wrong for America (1996) and, more recently, Land of Promise: An Economic History of the United States (2012).
Christopher Caldwell is the Senior Editor at The Weekly Standard. His writings often appear in the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, and he regularly contributes to Slate and the Financial Times, where he writes on politics, culture, and international relations. He is an editor at several other publications as well, including The American Spectator. His recent book, Reflections on the Revolution in Europe: Immigration, Islam, and the West (2009), garnered much media attention.
