The William F. Buckley, Jr. Program was founded in 2010 by a group of Yale undergraduates under the guidance of Professor Donald Kagan. The program officially launched in the spring semester of 2011. Our mission is to promote intellectual diversity on Yale's campus.
The Buckley Program routinely offers:
- A dynamic speaker series.
- Funded summer internships for undergraduate students.
- Debates, as part of our Rosenkranz Debate series.
- Daylong workshops and seminars.
Some of our guests to campus have included Dr. Henry Kissinger and professors from many of our peer institutions. In the past, we have sent students on subsidized trips to conferences in Washington D.C. and published an essay contest.
In 2011, we hosted a gala-conference that examined the sixty years since William F. Buckley Jr.'s publication of God and Man at Yale. Be sure to see our videos and photo albums of the event.
